FOR GIVING
Giving is an important act of worship. You give your offerings of worship unto the Lord.
The Bible says "They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God."
When you give sacrificially, you partner with what God is doing around the world through Praisim & Olivia Peter at Throne Room Ministries
Here's some scriptural promises that will bless you. As you give today, claim these promises! The word of God will not return without accomplishing it's purposes!
### 1. Luke 6:38
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
- Promise: Generosity will be returned with abundance. The measure of your giving will determine the measure of your blessing.
### 2. Malachi 3:10-11
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil; and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear," says the Lord Almighty.
- Promise: Faithful tithing opens the floodgates of heavenly blessings and ensures divine protection against loss and adversity.
### 3. Proverbs 3:9-10

### 4. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
- Promise: Generous giving leads to generous reaping, and God will provide all you need so that you can continue to do good.
### 5. Philippians 4:19

### 8. Matthew 6:3-4

QUICK READ
Biblical Foundation for Giving
The Bible offers numerous examples of faithful, consistent giving that have profoundly impacted ministries, donors, and the leaders who steward God's work. These examples from both the Old and New Testaments demonstrate how giving not only supports the work of the ministry but also brings blessings and favor to those who give.
The Tithes and Offerings
In Malachi 3:10-11, God invites His people to "bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house." He then promises: "I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil; and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear," says the Lord Almighty. This act of regular giving was a way for the community to support the work of the temple and the priests, ensuring that God’s work could continue, while also protecting the giver from loss and adversity.
Cain and Abel
In Genesis 4:3-5, we read about the first recorded offerings to God. Abel brought the firstborn of his flock, offering the best to God, while Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil. God looked with favor on Abel's offering because it was given in faith and with the right heart. This story teaches us the importance of giving our best to God with the right motives.
Abraham and Melchizedek
In Genesis 14:18-20, after Abraham's victory in battle, he met Melchizedek, the king of Salem and priest of God Most High. Abraham gave him a tenth of everything he had. This act of giving is significant because it reflects Abraham's acknowledgment of God's provision and blessing in his life, setting a precedent for tithing as an act of worship and gratitude.
Holy Offerings in Leviticus
The book of Leviticus outlines various offerings that were to be brought to the Lord as holy sacrifices. These included burnt offerings, grain offerings, peace offerings, sin offerings, and guilt offerings. Each of these offerings had a specific purpose and was a means for the Israelites to maintain their relationship with God, showing their devotion and obedience.
The Widow and Elijah
In 1 Kings 17:10-16, during a severe drought, God sent the prophet Elijah to a widow in Zarephath. Despite having only a handful of flour and a little oil, the widow obeyed Elijah’s request to make him a small loaf of bread first. Because of her faith and obedience, God miraculously provided for her, her son, and Elijah throughout the drought. This story highlights the blessings that come from sacrificial giving, even in times of scarcity.
Isaac Sowing in the Land
In Genesis 26:12-13, during a time of famine, Isaac sowed seed in the land and reaped a hundredfold because the Lord blessed him. This account shows that even in difficult circumstances, God rewards those who trust Him and act in faith. Isaac's obedience to God's guidance led to abundant blessings.
The Early Church
In Acts 2:44-45, we see the early believers sharing their resources consistently: "All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need." This regular support allowed the early church to thrive and meet the needs of its members.
Paul’s Appeal to the Corinthians
In 2 Corinthians 9:7, Paul encourages the believers to give regularly and cheerfully: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Paul knew that regular support from the believers was essential to sustain his missionary journeys and the work of the early church.
